The text below comes from the first half of Tobit, Chapter 2 (with some omissions). This chapter contains Thobi's account of the most devastating experience in his life which takes place one year during the festival of Pentecost. This festival, called Shavuot in Hebrew, the "Festival of the Seven Weeks," takes place 50 days after Passover. |
